A nutrient is a component in foods that an organism uses to survive and grow.
Nutrients are environmental substances used by our body for energy, growth, and bodily functions.
These substances are needed in small amounts or larger amounts. Which are needed in large amounts are called Macronutrients and which are needed in small amounts are called as Micronutrients.
There are three macronutrients required by humans:
