Best meat for the ones who want to Maintain Healthy Weight
Chicken contains B- complex vitamins that burn away the calories and boost our metabolism so one can manage a healthy weight and blood sugar level.
Anyway, the list of benefits of eating chicken is so long. It will go on and on and on. Let’s just jump into the recipe. It only takes a few steps and uses simple ingredients. And don’t worry, there are more chickens on earth than people.
Easy!
Who does not like the chicken to be flavorful, tender, and juicy at the same time right? If you are truly a chicken lover you’d know the importance of that every bite and the secret behind this is its marinade.
Marinating adds flavor to the dish not just from outside but it also seeps inside the chicken and makes it tender and juicy and chewy. Not just that but it also acts as a preservative.
So let’s marinate it first. Place chicken pieces in a bowl, add the buttermilk, salt pepper, and oregano to it. Mix well and make sure each chicken piece is coated well. Now cover it and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Take the flour and mix it with some salt, garlic powder, pepper, and cayenne powder. Then roll the marinated chicken pieces in that mixture, shaking off excess. Repeat it with the rest of the chicken pieces. It is advised to let the chicken rest in the flour for a couple of minutes as it soaks up any excess moisture.
Now heat oil in a heavy-based pan. Place over medium heat. Now fry 3-4 chicken pieces at a time in a single layer. Now you need to flip them when the breading turns dark golden brown. Ensure the pieces cook evenly. Drain the fried chicken pieces on kitchen paper or tissue paper or a cooling wire rack.
Enjoy!
